§ 54-6. Application for service.

(a)

Users shall make written application for service specifying the requested type of service at the office of the town's water department and, at the same time, make the required guarantee deposit.

(b)

The water department may reject any application in writing for service not available under a standard rate, or which involves excessive service cost, or which may affect the supply of service to other users or for other good and sufficient reasons.

(c)

When it is found that an applicant owes a prior balance for service previously supplied by Pine Knoll Shores Water Department at any of the town's water service locations, the applicant will be required to pay the balance in full prior to connecting service. In cases of high prior balances, the applicant may be connected without full payment of the prior balance, but a payment plan will be set up to pay the balance in payments with future bills until the balance is paid in full within 12 months.
