§ 74-148. Amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal.

  • The board of commissioners may, on its own motion, upon recommendation of the planning board, or upon petition by any interested person, amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal the regulations or district boundaries established by this chapter. A petition by an interested person shall be submitted to the board of commissioners through the planning board, which shall consider its merit and make a recommendation to the board of commissioners. In no case shall final action by the board of commissioners be taken on amending, changing, supplementing, modifying or repealing the regulations or district boundaries hereby established until a public hearing has been held by the board of commissioners, or in its behalf, by the planning board, at which parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard.
