§ 74-62. Expiration of permit if work not started in specified time.

  • (a)

    A tree removal and oceanfront pruning permit shall expire 90 days after issuance.

    (b)

    Both major and minor landscape permits shall expire 90 days after issuance unless work authorized by the permit has started.

    (c)

    A building permit shall expire six months after issuance unless work authorized by the permit has started.

    (d)

    If after commencement of work authorized by a landscape and/or building permit, there is work discontinuance for a period of 12 months, the landscape and/or building permit therefore shall immediately expire. No work authorized by any permit that has expired shall thereafter be performed until new permits are secured. The town manager may require, at the owner's expense, restoration of the property to its appearance before re-issuance of the now-expired permit(s).
