§ 54-18. Removal of meters.

  • (a)

    In some situations, meters may be installed but not used. As stated elsewhere in these regulations, once a meter is installed, the minimum monthly charge shall be billed to the user, regardless of whether the residence/building is connected to the meter.

    (b)

    In the event that such user should fail to pay the minimum monthly charge for a period of 60 days or more, the meter shall be removed at the discretion of the public services department. Any subsequent reinstallation of a meter shall be charged at the rate set forth by the board of commissioners in the town's fee schedule, coupled with payment of the current security deposit.
