§ 4.3. Regulation of Elections.

All municipal elections shall be conducted in accordance with the general laws of North Carolina relating to municipal elections, except as otherwise herein provided. The elections shall be held and conducted by the Carteret County Board of Elections under the applicable provisions of Articles 23 and 24 of Chapter 163 of the General Statutes. The elections shall be nonpartisan and decided by a simple plurality. No primary election shall be held.
